Our team has been dedicated to creating innovative and interactive, game-based learning experiences for preschoolers between 4-8+ years old. With our Series A funding of €10,5 million (by DN Capital, Tengelmann Ventures, FJ Labs, btov and Emerge Education), we’ll be able to accelerate the development of new learning worlds, grow our team further and expand our reach to more learners around the globe!

Role purpose
We are seeking an experienced Finance Manager to join our fast-growing startup in the educational tech sector. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting the financial planning, analysis, and reporting activities of the company, as well as managing financial controls and compliance. You love playing with numbers, and will work closely with our co-founders to drive strategic decision-making and ensure financial stability and growth within the exciting phase of our funding rounds.

Your mission at EDURINO
  • Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to support company-wide strategic decision-making
  • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports 
  • Oversee financial controls and compliance, including risk management and internal audits
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in financial reporting and analysis
  • Manage budgeting and planning processes, including variance analysis and reporting (expenses versus budget and discrepancies analysis)
It is a match if you…
  • Have a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Finance and Controlling, preferably in a startup or dynamic (tech) environment
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights
  • Demonstrated experience in financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, KPIs steering (Cash, NWC,...)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
  • High proficiency in financial reporting and analysis software, including Excel
  • You are highly motivated, hands-on, you see new challenges as an opportunity and want to implement your own ideas within a collaborative team
  • Excellent communication skills/professional proficiency in German and English(both written and verbal)

How to become part of the team

  1. We look forward to receiving your application (CV is enough!). Once we have reviewed it and decide to invite you, we schedule a first 30-minute interview where we get to know each other. After our company presentation, you will have the space to tell us why you would be the perfect fit for us and we are happy to answer all of your questions. 
  2. Depending on the position, there is now a small homework for you - either an art/coding test or the elaboration of some questions within a case study.
  3. We schedule another interview with the direct report of your position. You will elaborate the task or questions you have solved. 
  4. You (e-)meet one of the co-founders. Depending of the position, we will now ask you for some references.
  5. After a couple of days, we will get back to you with the final decision and you become part of #teamedurino, yay! 
  6. The following onboarding steps include meetings with your onboarding buddy and your team members, getting to know everyone from both our business and tech team and of course receiving your EDURINO onboarding box!
